Illusions uLite Green Screen Photo Lighting Kit - by Westcott Illusions

We’ve created a complete kit including everything you need (minus the camera and computer) to superimpose an image onto any background!

To enter, all you have to do is send us your most creative photo of a child…dressed up. It doesn’t even have to be produced with green screen techniques.

For some inspiration (and useful tips) check out this video of Top Pro Dave Cross as he shows us the ease of doing children’s portraits using PhotoKey5 software. Using some of the features of this software, like the “Hot Folder”, Photo Key 5 makes Green Screen processing quick and efficient.

    Title: 4-Wheelin’
The subject of this 3-photo composite was taken at a local park. Just love the style and attitude proudly on display.

I was playing peek-a-boo around a tree with my granddaughter on her second birthday, she is wearing a birthday present dress sent from England by my sister. I loved the impish
expressions I caught on her face each time she peeked out.

The hollyhock is from a yard in the neighborhood and the wings from some butterflies I photographed at the Natural History Museum in LA. Add some Photoshop and behold, a Faery Playground.

This composite is of my nephew Danny who lives and loves the game of soccer! I set up my home studio using the Hensel Integra 500 kit with 2 strobes and 2 45″ silver lined umbrellas. It was shot against a white backdrop so that he can be removed and placed in the poster composite. Pieced together in Photoshop with an action shot of Danny and the team’s logo in addition to some lighting strike clipart. The poster background was set to the color blue that matches the uniform worn during play. Final stage was the addition of the text to complete the poster piece and now Danny has this proudly framed and displayed on his wall.

This is my little neighbor. I decided to just randomly follow her around in the backyard trying to get some good images whens he grabbed this dandelion and just start blowing.

It was a really nice afternoon and I was itching to get out of the studio and shoot something. I grabbed the daughter, had her put on a nice dress and we went around the corner to the local landscape supply yard. I shot her on a pile of landscape boulders using two Alien Bee 1600′s. The main was in a Westcott 28″ Apollo and the rim was modified with a 7″ reflector. I brought the ambient down and controlled it using a 3 stop ND filter

Took this shot of my nephew dressed up or down in his farmer overalls. He rarely sits still, so I just love the soft curious look on his face.

Melia took a few minutes out of her rigorous schedule as a princess to let me take a few photos. This is one of my favorites.

I took the picture of the plane with a fish eye lens while I was on vacation. The young lady was taken against a white backdrop at my home. We used a shop vac to get the blowing of her hair. She is lit using a westcott apollo orb. She dressed up with her glitter hat and model jewelry. She was supposed to be a fashionista!
